Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 6, 2026
About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Lone Oak Riding Stables website and provide general information about our riding lesson policies and services. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
Lone Oak Riding Stables provides private horseback riding lessons in Pilot Hill, California. Information on this website is provided for general informational purposes and may be updated from time to time.
Riding Lessons and Scheduling
Lone Oak Riding Stables offers private, one-hour riding lessons for children and adults. Lessons are tailored to each rider’s age, experience, abilities, and individual goals.
Lesson times are scheduled based on instructor and horse availability and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Contacting Lone Oak Riding Stables does not guarantee a particular lesson time or ongoing availability.
Lesson activities may vary depending on the rider, horse, weather, arena conditions, and other circumstances. Lone Oak Riding Stables may modify, reschedule, or cancel a lesson when necessary for the safety or well-being of riders, horses, or staff.
Pricing and Payment
Private riding lessons are currently $70 for a one-hour lesson. Lone Oak Riding Stables also offers a private-pay package of six one-hour lessons for $350, allowing riders to purchase five lessons and receive the sixth lesson at no additional charge. The six-lesson package is not available for charter school lessons.
Unless a lesson package or other arrangement applies, payment is due per lesson. Prices, packages, and payment policies may change, and current pricing will be posted on our website or communicated when scheduling.
For approved charter school lessons, Lone Oak Riding Stables works directly with the participating charter school for payment. The amount of educational funding available, number of authorized lessons, and approval requirements are determined by the individual charter school.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule a riding lesson at least 24 hours in advance. Private-pay lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at the regular lesson rate.
Charter school lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to the same cancellation policy and will still be invoiced to the charter school.
Lone Oak Riding Stables may need to cancel or reschedule lessons because of weather, arena conditions, horse health or availability, instructor availability, safety concerns, or other circumstances. If Lone Oak Riding Stables cancels a lesson, we will work with you to reschedule the lesson, and the late-cancellation charge will not apply.
Rider Safety and Participation
Horseback riding and working around horses involve inherent risks. Riders and visitors are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by Lone Oak Riding Stables and the instructor while on the property and around horses.
Riders must wear closed-toe shoes or boots with a small heel, approximately one inch. Long pants are preferred. Riding helmets are required when appropriate for participation, and Lone Oak Riding Stables provides helmets for riders who do not have their own.
Lone Oak Riding Stables may modify or discontinue a rider’s participation in an activity when necessary for the safety or well-being of the rider, other people, or the horses.
Charter School Lessons
Lone Oak Riding Stables works with select charter schools as an approved vendor for private riding lessons. Participating schools, available educational funds or vouchers, approval requirements, and the number of lessons that may be authorized are determined by each charter school and may change over time.
Families should contact Lone Oak Riding Stables to confirm current lesson availability before submitting a request through their charter school. Approval of lessons or educational funding by a charter school is not guaranteed by Lone Oak Riding Stables.
Once lessons are approved, Lone Oak Riding Stables works directly with the participating charter school for payment in accordance with the school’s applicable procedures and authorization.
